BVIs Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Tortola & Soper’s Hole
Start: Arrival at Tortola (the main island of the BVI)
Anchor: Soper’s Hole, West End, Tortola

Morning: Arrive in Tortola and get settled onto your sailing vessel. Briefing on the itinerary, boat, and safety.

Afternoon: Head to Soper’s Hole for lunch and enjoy the quaint harbor. Explore the nearby shops, restaurants, and beautiful scenery.

Evening: Relax and prepare for your freediving training tomorrow.

Dive: Fun dive around the area (if time permits), perfect for checking your gear and getting comfortable in the water.
Day 2: Soper’s Hole to Norman Island
Sail: 1 hour
Anchor: The Bight, Norman Island

Morning: Begin your sailing journey towards Norman Island, one of the most popular spots in the BVI for both freediving and scuba diving.

Afternoon: After anchoring, take the first freediving depth training session. A local freediving instructor can help with breath-hold training and basic skills practice at depths of around 10-15 meters.

Evening: Enjoy the calm waters of The Bight, a beautiful bay known for clear water and great diving spots.

Dive: After your freediving session, head out for a fun dive at the Caves or The Indians, both famous for underwater rock formations and abundant marine life.
Day 3: Norman Island to Peter Island
Sail: 1-2 hours
Anchor: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Morning: Set sail to Peter Island, enjoying the serene beauty along the way.

Afternoon: Begin the day’s freediving depth training in shallow waters, progressing to deeper dives (up to 20 meters if you feel comfortable). Focus on technique, relaxation, and equalization.

Evening: Dinner on the boat, relax, and enjoy the peaceful setting of Great Harbor.

Dive: Fun dive at Deadman’s Bay, known for its calm waters and vibrant marine life, perfect for a relaxed afternoon dive.
Day 4: Peter Island to Salt Island
Sail: 1 hour
Anchor: Salt Island

Morning: Sail to Salt Island, a small, peaceful island known for its shipwreck dive site.

Afternoon: Dive at The Wreck of the Rhone (a popular spot for both freediving and scuba diving). The wreck lies at depths ranging from 5 meters to 30 meters, so you can practice freediving at your target depth.

Evening: Enjoy the quiet beach at Salt Island and unwind for the night.

Dive: After your training, go for a fun dive around the wreck to explore this incredible historical site and its marine life.
Day 5: Salt Island to Cooper Island
Sail: 1-2 hours
Anchor: Manchioneel Bay, Cooper Island

Morning: Sail toward Cooper Island, one of the quieter and more scenic islands in the BVI.

Afternoon: Continue freediving depth training, focusing on improving technique and depth. You can explore depths up to 20-25 meters here.

Evening: Relax at Manchioneel Bay, enjoy a beach barbecue, and soak in the calm surroundings.

Dive: Fun dive at Cooper Island Beach Club’s reef, which offers a variety of fish and coral gardens.
Day 6: Cooper Island to Anegada
Sail: 2-3 hours
Anchor: Setting your anchor at the secluded beaches of Anegada (known for being the most remote island in the BVI).

Morning: Early morning sail to Anegada, famous for its large barrier reef, vibrant coral gardens, and unique marine life.

Afternoon: Begin a freediving depth training session at the shallow waters of Anegada’s reefs, practicing both technique and depth. Anegada is great for depth training as you can easily find calm waters and clear visibility.

Evening: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant or on your boat, and explore the peaceful shores of Anegada.

Dive: Fun dive at Anegada's barrier reef. This area offers stunning coral formations, and marine life including rays, turtles, and tropical fish.
Day 7: Anegada to Virgin Gorda (The Baths)
Sail: 2-3 hours
Anchor: The Baths, Virgin Gorda

Morning: Head towards Virgin Gorda to explore the iconic Baths.

Afternoon: Enjoy a relaxed day with freediving in the crystal-clear waters surrounding The Baths. Spend time practicing depth training in this picturesque environment.

Evening: Spend your last night in the BVI exploring the island’s natural beauty.

Dive: Fun dive in the beautiful waters surrounding The Baths, known for underwater caves, large granite boulders, and an abundance of marine life.
Weather and time permitting we may be able to explore places like Guana Island, Jost Van Dyke, or Brewers Bay. These spots are perfect for fun dives and additional training sessions.
PRICING: USD 2,500
Onboard, you'll be treated to a delightful array of high-protein, plant-based meals prepared by an experienced vegan/vegetarian chef. Each dish is designed to offer both nourishment and a burst of flavor, ensuring a satisfying experience for every meal. Expect a colorful and diverse menu, filled with fresh, local ingredients that are packed with nutrients to fuel your adventures on the water. From hearty grain bowls to savory lentil stews, and vibrant vegetable curries to protein-rich tofu and tempeh dishes, there will be no shortage of delicious options.
For variety, one night will be dedicated to a fish night, where freshly caught fish will be served, giving you a taste of the region's seafood in a wholesome, flavorful way. However, please note that meals on land are not included in the price, offering you the chance to explore local cuisine or relax with a meal on the boat under the stars.
Every dish will be thoughtfully crafted to ensure a perfect balance of taste and nutrition, designed to keep you energized throughout your sailing and diving adventures. Whether you’re craving something light and refreshing or a hearty, satisfying meal, you’ll enjoy an array of vibrant culinary delights each day.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Getting to your sailing adventure in the British Virgin Islands is simple and seamless. Guests flying from the U.S. or Canada can conveniently arrive at Beef Island International Airport (EIS) on Tortola. Major airlines offer connecting flights through hubs like San Juan (Puerto Rico), St. Thomas (USVI), or Antigua, ensuring plenty of options for your journey.
Upon arrival at EIS, you’ll be just minutes away from Hodge’s Creek Marina, our departure point. We recommend scheduling your arrival by mid-afternoon on embarkation day to allow ample time for transfers and boarding.
For departures, plan for flights leaving after midday on your final day to accommodate the return sail to the marina and smooth transfer back to the airport. Need assistance planning your travel? INSURANCE
It is strongly recommended to carry Extended Medical Insurance, Emergency Evacuation Insurance, Trip Cancellation and Baggage Delay Insurance.
WEATHER
The British Virgin Islands enjoy a year-round tropical climate, making it a perfect sailing destination at any time. Temperatures typically range from 77°F to 88°F (25°C to 31°C), with refreshing trade winds keeping the conditions comfortable both onshore and at sea.Winter (December to February): This is the high season, with steady easterly winds averaging 15-20 knots, ideal for sailing. Temperatures are slightly cooler, and rainfall is minimal, making it a prime time for sunny, breezy days.Spring (March to May): Winds remain consistent at 10-15 knots, and the weather is warm and dry. The crowds begin to thin out, providing a quieter atmosphere while still offering perfect conditions for sailing and exploring.Summer (June to August): Expect calmer seas and lighter winds averaging 10-12 knots, with occasional afternoon showers. This is a fantastic time for snorkeling and diving, as the waters are warm and visibility is excellent.Fall (September to November): While this is the rainy season, showers are typically brief and followed by sunshine. Winds are lighter, making it a great time for relaxed cruising and enjoying the lush, green landscapes.Regardless of when you visit, the BVI offers ideal conditions for a memorable sailing journey.
